This lecture will be presenting information about publishing, the RSC, and Open Access. Join us to hear a brief history of the RSC, an overview of Open Access and the future of publishing at the RSC, and then a guide on publishing with impact. Sarah will discuss the peer review process, how to prepare your manuscript for editors, reviewers and readers, and how to promote your research. We will finish up with guidance on becoming a reviewer, followed by time for any questions that you may have.
BIO
Sarah Rainford has worked in publishing for the past 7 years, working across multiple roles within the Royal Society of Chemistry and across a number of journals, including RSC Advances, Chemical Science, Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry, Environmental Science: Nano, and Lab on a Chip. Prior to that, Sarah worked at the University of Hong Kong as a Research Assistant, looking into processes for the total synthesis of Pseudolaric Acid B. Sarah obtained an integrated Master‘s degree in Chemistry at the University of Manchester, UK.
