Undergraduate Research Symposium
Join us as we host our annual Undergraduate Research Symposium. Come and hear about the research our undergraduates have participated in.
On behalf of the Chemistry faculty, we are proud to invite everyone to the 9th
annual Chemistry Research Poster Symposium of undergraduates working in the
chemistry research labs. These students have made significant contributions in a
wide variety of fields under the direction of their faculty mentors, and many have
won awards and fellowships to fund these projects. It is with great pleasure that
we highlight their efforts.
In addition to the rigorous education in the fundamental areas of chemical theory
and experimentation along with a hands-on approach to modern laboratory
practices and instrumentation, laboratory research on active projects is an
opportunity for undergraduates to harness their talents and agile minds and to
tackle open questions in the scientific community. By engaging majors in
research projects along side of our faculty and doctoral students, these
undergraduates experience the thrill, frustration and tremendous satisfaction of
uncovering new science. This solid foundation in the chemical sciences and
experiential learning prepares our students to be competitive in pursuit of careers
in academia, professional programs, industry, and government.
